Terms & Copyright (the small print)

The following terms are some of our standard terms per assignment or stock usage, unless otherwise indicated or negotiated (please see our Types of Rights page). More complete terms appear on our delivery memos and invoices.

1. Unless otherwise indicated, rights granted are for one-time use, English language, one year from date of invoice. All other rights reserved, including electronic, revision or republication rights.

2. Protective copyright/credit line such as © Ron Levy 2001 must accompany use wherever possible or $100-250 per image minimum added to invoice, depending on use and original fee.

3. Photographer shall be given at least 3 copies of each use of image(s).

4. Reimbursement to Photographer for loss or damage of any original image(s) requested by client shall be minimum $1500 or 3 times the quoted one-time use rate, whichever is greater. Duplicate slides valued at $5.00/slide. Client agrees that this represents fair, industry-accepted image values.

5. Client indemnifies Photographer against all claims, liability, costs, expenses, and legal fees, from the use of image(s) altered by Client or for which no release was indicated by Photographer.

6. Client may not assign or transfer this agreement or any rights granted herein.

7. All expense estimates are subject to normal trade variance of 10%. In the event of cancellation of an assignment, Client is responsible for all expenses incurred plus 50% of Photographer’s fee.

8.This agreement incorporates by reference Article 2 of the UCC and the Copyright Law of 1976, including all amendments.

Copyright

Ron Levy relies on producing these images for clients in need of professional photography to represent their business and their success. Sometimes these images are produced under exclusive arrangements, and therefore may not be used anywhere else. Clients have sometimes paid large sums of money for the guarantee that nobody else can use the same image for a certain period of time.

All images, text or html codes on this website are the exclusive property of Global Image Group and Ron Levy, and are protected under US Copyright law. This means that you cannot copy, use, publish, display, reproduce, alter, manipulate, digitize or sell anything from this site without written approval and payment of usage fees. Use of any images here as the basis for another photographic concept or illustration is also against the law. Unauthorized users submit to legal actions in federal court and pay large fines, well in excess of the original usage fees.

These laws protect creativity and encourage us all to produce original work.
