I love the challenge of finding a situation or developing an idea into a memorable expression of humanity.
Subjects have included all kinds of people in all regions of the earth, from world leaders to the less fortunate.
Expert location photographer in a wide range of physical, social & cultural situations. Will use available light, studio strobes or whatever other equipment will get the job done to capture the energy and natural feel in the real world.
Regularly shoot in Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii; speak Spanish and a little French.
Active member in several professional organizations including Advertising Photographers of America, National Press Photographers Association, Stock Artists Alliance, and Editorial Photographers.
Awards began at age 18 with a Brooks Institute/University of California commendation. Later honors include 2nd place BBC/Kodak Wildlife Photographer of the Year (flown to London to accept award), winning images in several national competitions, and exhibitions at Carnegie Museum, London Museum, West Point Academy, Ottawa Natural History Museum, Premiere of China personal residence, German Ministry of Tourism, Hollywood Director's Guild, and others.
Images have appeared in publications, ads and commercial projects worldwide.
One of the fascinating attributes of any culture is how they treat their animals. I have been exploring and documenting the selective compassions of humanity, and the bonds they create, all over the world. Along these lines, I have also documented some of the Dalai Lama's influence in inspiring compassion in all people.
