"One of the most nerve-wracking and fulfilling events I've ever shot. Aside from the 5000 mile trip, press logistics, and dog sniffing security protocols, I was warned repeatedly that there were too many photographers than there was space or permission for. I didn't know until 5 minutes before the President arrived that I could stay. I got the shots, plus a number of unexpected images of celebrities and events. The local paper chose to print a shot of me rather than the President/Dalai Lama images that I thought were much more engaging."
